The Indus Hospital covers an area of 20 hectares and is located in the densely populated area of Korangi. It is a multidisciplinary hospital with 300 beds that offers world-class medical care in a new and impressive facility.
It has the privilege of being the first undocumented hospital in Pakistan and is now a symbol of hope for the most vulnerable members of society.
The founder of the Indus Hospital, Dr Abdul Bari Khan and our co-founders have worked in the public sector for many years. During their stay in public hospitals, they witnessed the condition of suffering patients of Karachi, beaten by poverty. At that time, they were considering creating a multidisciplinary tertiary hospital, which would provide free and high-quality treatment to the population not accompanied by Karachi.
After several years, in 2005, the Islamic Mission Trust donated a non-functional hospital building to its founders. This building was built in 2007. It is a totally free hospital without checkout.
Meanwhile, Indus Hospital Karachi has become a health network covering hospitals and public health clinics throughout Pakistan, providing free, high-quality and indiscriminate treatment to the oppressed and free populations of Pakistanis.
Indus Hospital is located at Darussalam Society, Korangi, Karachi. This hospital has in-patient and out-patient facilities.
