such a brave step to write about your problem. I recommend visiting a nearby therapist. your symptoms resemble depression. Just make sure your sleep and eating habit are well. include exercise in your daily routine. also take more actions and less thinking.

Hi, Frequent cryoig spells may happen due to Anxiety or un-adressed depression. And if you thinking and making up stories and events and then eventually you end up on feeling bad and it has become a habbit then this also should be adressed.
Take consultation as soon as possible, to evaluate how long have you been going through this problem and the frequency of the crying spells and such intrusive thoughts should be checked by a therapist.
For a started You should record your cryong episodes at the end of the day, wrote them on a paper and event happened before that. This will help you in making connection or a therapist can guide you if you will have this log. Second of all make up your routinr in a way that you must have something to do for your own happiness or recreation for example going to a friends place, listening to the music or going for a walk.
