Talk to Pediatrician on Itching Over Scalp

i gave her steroids nd antifungals for 6 ,7 times but it temporarily improves n recur.mostly at night .no rash

any allergy history in family or in paternal / maternal side of child? usually these issues are related to allergy

steroids play a great role in solving allergy related issues but they are temporary relief providing stuff

allergy is a life long issue. And management of allergy is to manage the triggering factors.

there are many factors that trigger allergy and they may vary person to person
you have to focus on specific triggering factor for your child. It may be any baby powder that triggers any specific food any clothing etc.

for confirming the diagnosis you need to have few tests.

serum IGE level
CBC
ESR.

these are first line investigations. further workup will be done if needed, after these labs are chased.

ok y cbc no fever

in CBC we will have to check eosinophil level. it is related to allergy and levels are raised in allergy related issues. And as adviced by Dr Nagina add LFTs test as well. These will be baseline and will give clear initial picture of your child. After which further management plan can be designed.

what u think is most probable diagnosis .allergy or any skin disorder

since there are no rashes / lesions or scars. Hence first differential is skin allergy related issue / or systemic issues like issues related to liver could be though at this stage.

if it was allergy it would have been generalized .but she has itching only on these parts ..scalp behind ear nose tip nd abdomen

Its not necessory that all the allergy related issues should present with generalised allergy. These areas of body (scalp / ear / face and neck) etc are the most prone areas for these symptoms hence allergy should be considered as a differential here.

i also hv itching ws rash .from childhood .but my dna ana were negative .i thought to repeat them

Then here is a clue of allergy history from family. Anti DS DNA antibody test just rule out autoimmune issues. It doesnt rule out allergy related issues. You d0nt have autoimmune disease but allergy should be considered here.
