Asking for Mother, Female, 56 years old, Rawalpindi
My mother got TSH + BSO surgery 1 month back. Following is the Histopathology report.
At end of Report , it is mentioned that further examination of Peritoneal Fluid is required but Doctor is asking to get CT Scan done. I am confused, which test should be done?
I have visited hospital but they are giving next checkup and treatment date of end of September.

At the end of histo. and radiology reports the reporting doctor always gives suggestions according to the information that have and the tests they have done. But the final decision of the tests lies with the treating or investigating doctor who has heard patients history, done relevant examination and asked for specific tests.
In your case, CT scan is to be done next as your doctor's plan and if that shows enough fluid in the belly. That fluid sample can be taken to check under microscope as suggested by this histology report. It is a stepwise process. So, follow ur treating doctors advice. Hope she gets well soon. Take care.
