Asking for Self, Male, 33 years old, Lahore
I've moderate disc herniation at l4/l5 since 2007. At that time neurosurgeon said to do nothing, wait and see unless symptoms gets worse like loss of bowel/bladder control etc... Since then there must have been developments in treatment so What is the cost of Lumbar Microdiscectomy and Endoscopic Lumbar Dicectomy at private and govt facility? Which is more successful? (Please write cost in words or like 10K for ten thousand)

Decision for Lumber Diskectomy needs thorough history, physical examination and review of all investigations including MRI L/S spine. Anyways in private setup conventional Diskectomy costs around 175k and endoscopic around 200 to 225k
Dear pt , as far tissue nd muscle damage is concerned , microdiscectomy is less muscle damaging as compared to endoscopic.

Your concern regarding Success of Microscopic Discectomy vs Endoscopic Discectomy in terms of Muscle damage pain and other complication is the same.
To Answer your question comprehensively if you opt for any of the above mentioned procedures you will have small operative wound of size less than 1 cm and less muscle damage and less post operative pain and hospital stay. both procedures are excellent
The cost of this surgery Varies by different hospital setups.
