Talk to Gynecologist on Vaginal Birth After C Sec

I am currently 39+5 days pregnant with 2nd baby. First one is from c sec and now she is 3.5 years old. I want a natural birth this time. My dr did internal in 38 weeks and said pelvic bone is fine and baby is slighlty moved into the pelvis. And she agreed to wait for 40 weeks. I asked her if we can wait to 42 weeks . She said no we cant allow vbac candidate to wait this long. But in my 1st preg she didnt wait nor induced , just did directly c sec coz there were no pains. Alhamdulilah uptil now i dont have any kind of pain in prev scar or stitches. No gdm, no bp issues alhamdulilah. Baby movemnt is fine. Can i wait for another week for natural pains ??
