Assalam o alaikum, my sister in law gave birth to a baby girl after 8 years of marriage through icsi treatment.
She was not immediately able to breastfeed her baby after the c section and now after a week, the baby doesn't suck, gets red and angry and cries when offered motherfeed The mother gets worried and offers her formula which she takes. Mother's milk supply is also low.
Can a lactation specialist please guide how can the mother get her baby to suck without crying and how to increase milk supply? Thank you
Milk will increase once baby starts to suck ask her to give her too feed when she is crying and try to offer her breastfeed when she is awake and good mood
