Hi I am currently 32 weeks 2 pregnant. yesterday I had my doppler scan and doc said baby's weight is around 1.8kg which is less for 33 weeks. she asked me to repeat the scan after 2 and a half weeks again to see the progress. my question is what should I do to increase baby's weight. and is this really low weight?
usg is not a good marker for measuring wt.as long as growth is appropriate u need not to worry about baby wt.

and yes definitely at 32weeks of pregnancy the weight of baby is quiet low so for that we need to arrange a special scan.call as Doppler umbilical artety for you after taking detail history to find that why weight of baby is low...hope i have answered your query...xx

Hi thank you for answering. I had my doppler scan yesterday and everything was fine growth wise just the weight is low. What to do at this point?

salaam. smallish baby. this is the right time to increase protien intake to increase baby wt.you need serial growth scan with doppler studies. detail history about hypertension etc needs to be ruled out...your physical checkup is also very important...

Hey thank you for your response. The thing is I was underweight at the time I conceived and I have a history of hyperthyroidism and pcos. Other then this I don't know what could be the reason for it.

you should have consultation to rule out either this is constitutionally small baby or because of some other problem...best of luvk

to me one point eight kg at thirty two wks is nt bad fr first timer-eat good-high proteins-continue wth ur antenatal vitamins...wt r u taking fr hyperthyroidism...yes wth this if uncontrolled babies can b smaller but good antenatal care always help...

Hi thank u for your answer. First of all since my pregnancy started my thyroid is under control allhamdulilah I have done multiple tests for it so not taking any medication secondly it's my third trimester 33 weeks precisely that's why I am worried
