Asking For Self, Female 27, Rawalpindi
It's my 2nd pregnancy, previously I had preterm labour in 24th week. The baby couldn't survive. Now I am 13th week pregnant again. Had my ultrasound to check cervix length which came to be 2.6cm and it's written cervix havng less thn 2.5cm could have miscarriage. In order to avoid the incident to tke place, Dr advised me to have stitch(cervical cerclage). I wanted to ask you all that I have heard that during the procedure sometimes when uterus is stitch patient starts having labour. Is that true. How much that could be the chnce. Pls guide. Really worried
Benefit is more than risk... So u should go for cerclage
aoa
mostly the procedure is successful
so not to worry..
The chances of going into labour are very less.
You should go for the stitch.
All the best
