Asking for Mother, Female, 81 years old, Lahore
My mother has osteo arthritis and Meniers disease. Both are stable. Since this ramazan May 2020 she is coughing and no antibiotic, cough syrup or anti allergy is doing any good. It comes and goes but it's quite consistent. There is no such mucus/ Phlegm. Beacuse of her age we are not comfortable to expose her to any hospital or clinic but we are very concerned as we have tried the home remedies as well. Just one thing we live in DHA phase 8 and our house is surrounded by too much wild bushes so I don't know if there is any kind of pollen in the air. But it never happened before to her. We are living here since 3 years.
Hello.. It could be due to throat irritation secondary to allergy.. You can give her 1 teaspoon of honey with a pinch of black pepper in it and pinch of ginger paste mixed in it.. give this yo her twice daily.. and if she has any positive history of allergies, and then u may continue giving her an antiallergic which suits her best..

You should definitely go to a nearby hospital, be it bayview hospital or DHA medical centre to get her checked. There is a possibility that she might actually be developing pneumonia. Kindly go to a pulmonologist and get her evaluated

I m ENT splt . Can u bring her at my clinic for detailed examination? Aadil Hospital, main boulevard DHA Lahore . Your mother is above 80 Mashallah, we cannot do experiments on her by giving different medicines without examination
