imodium 2 mg daily use for safe or risk? can you tell me, i have two years 5 to 6 time stools in one day problem, some time loose stool, when i use before breakfast imodium, my day is very relax, and i am go to one time stools passing, and there is hunger me, my endoscopy and coloscopy test exam is okay, and some blood test result is okay, i.e ttga,ttig, lft, stool dr, h.pylori, these all test is okay, but still 5 to 6 time stools problem,plz guide, me,

and imodium can control your symptoms but ist not good for long term use you have to modify your diet as well
Imodium is generally safe drug; look for rashes, cramps, constipation, nausea, tiredness, dizziness.
workup for this long term diarrhea remains incomplete. if history is only what you have told with no other background disease, and no other drugs, then I'd like to see the report of stool RE, and you should get stool tested for occult blood, ova and parasites. also, Barium, CT, or MR enterography might help in diagnostics. unless a cause is found, we would be unable to treat it. and it can lead to severe weakness and malnutrition overtime. so please get tested
Long time loperamide(Imodium) usage has severe side effects. As per your symptoms you could be a patient of Irritable bowel disease. Kindly consult gastroenterologist for proper management, loperamide is not the solution.
it is mostly safe but continuous use of any drug is discouraged. Stop taking it once your symptoms are controlled.
