Asking for Self, Male, 28 years old, Lahore
I was diagnosed with GERD and panic attack disorder over 4 years ago. I've learned to live with it but I'm not able to run or lift heavy objects, basically anything that makes the heart work harder. Every time I try, I'm forced to stop because of serious heart palpitations and shortness of breath. A really scary moment.
I guess it's a mental block but I'm unable to overcome it. It's extremely frustrating for me. I'm not sure if I should see a cardiologist or a psychologist. Please advise, thank you.
Any investigations, Chest X ray, BP, ECG?
If everything is clear especially ECG, no significant findings in investigations, then its all due to GERD.. For It, use
Tab Cemit (thrice a day),
Tab Risek 40mg (before Breakfast),
Tab Laxotinal ( At night)
Syrup Gaviscon ( 2 tsf after meal)
Feel free to contact, if u have further query

You may have anxiety attacks . I would be needing your complete history . And you must consult medical specialist and need some psychotherapy sessions also from good therapist.
Both cardiologist and psychiatrist
