Asking For Sister, Female 29, karachu
AOA, For the past 2 weeks my sister is having severe breathing issue suddenly her oxygen saturation drops to 80 or 72, hands start to shake. Chest X-ray is perfect. From the reports and condition Doc said that she is having anxiety attack. I wanna know whether anxiety attack is this much severe?? kindly guide.

walaykum assalam. Well, usually in anxiety attack, oxygen saturation doesn't drop this much.. So we need to rule out all the possible causes before labelling it as just an anxiety

Anxiety cannot cause such a massive drop in oxygen saturation. Could you tell us more about her breathing issue? When does it occur? How long does the condition stay? What seems to cause it? What seems to relieve it? Does she have any wheezing etc too? Does she have any illness? Is she on any medicine?

Thanks for sharing ur concern. Yes sometimes anxiety can be troublesome. since when is she having this problem and for how long does it last ? what do u do to make her feel and breather better ? Does she have irritability, restlessness, wright changes or sleep issue at night? Feels tired or fatigued ? fast racing of the heart, low mood ?
