Asking For Sister, Female 35, Karachi
Salam Drs. My sister is suffering from covid and worried about eye itching. The description by her is as follows;
I have pain and burning in my left eye It also tears randomly I have dry eye problem but now a days I am suffering from COVID-19 with flu and blocked nose symptoms so I am confused whether it is general eye dryness or something else Pls suggest any eye drops JazakaAllah khair FYI however my right eye is perfectly fine
use
E/D tear plus 3 drops 4 times a day.
E/D olopat 3 drops 4 times a day.
give review after medication.
Dry eyes cause excess tear production.For dry eyes,use Tears naturale 3 drops 4 times a day.
Flu too can cause nasal blockade and eye congestion and excess tears.Use an antihistamine for that like Telfast tab if it is flu.

If one side of nose is blocked with flu or some other cause,only that eye will be symptomatic.
If symptoms do not go away get yourself checked by Eye,/or ENT surgeons.

Thank you very much dr for your detailed response. Yes she has flu and the same side nose is also blocked. She used Rose water prior to approval of this post and found it effective. Will recommend these drops as well.
