I am sorry to hear your issues.It does sound that very likely your reflux is underlying problem as it can result in variable presentation persistent sore throat or irritation could be on elf them.weight loss will certainly help.you have not shared what have your tried so far in term of medications and lifestyle other than wt loss.Did you get endoscopy or any H pylori testing etc.Do you use any regular painkiller like ibuprofen etc as these don't help with symptoms.
