Asking for Father, Female, 62 years old, Karachi
My father has been diagnosed with diabetes last year. He’s has eliminated sugar from his life but he is still losing weight and the HbA1C test result decreased at first but then increased even though he is taking proper medication as prescribed by doctor. (metliptin tablet once a day) My concern is that is It because he drinks milk daily as it eventually breaks down into glucose and galactose ?And what could be done to stop the diabetes from increasing? Attaching the report.

Hi. Metformin is weight neutral and it doesn’t decrease weight per se. Fir reduction of weight consider GLP1 and SGLT 2 in. Please share more details and make an appointment. Thanks
