Aoa. I got my braces removed 6 yrs ago while still have my retainers on both the upper n lower teeth. I am observing slight flare and disposition of teeth. Why is it so? Does removing the retainers will further deteriote the look of teeth?

Time Duration of Retainer is 6 mnths but time duration can b increased depends upon case severity.u must visit ur orthodontist for Consultation
Ws.. time duration of retainer is 5 to 6 months and also the severity of the pts case .. and how orthodontist have deal with case .. and if it is happening then visit your dentist for follow up

Walaikum Assalam. Yes teeth do tend to move if retainers not worn. Even after recommended time of wearing retainer they sometimes move. Best to wear retainers to fix the gaps followed by getting fixed retainers for both upper and lower teeth
Wsalam, relapse do occur with time if retainers are not worn, An effective approach is fixed retainers to avoid further deterioration. Your orthodontist can guide you on this.
