Asking For Self, Male 21, Jacobabad
This question is mostly for Neurologists, Physiotherapists, and Orthopaedics.
I'm a University student by occupation. For the last many months I've been feeling sporadic nerve pain in my lower/mid back. The pain is on both side regions of spine. It is sporadic in sense that it persists for weeks and then goes away only to come back after few days. I mostly feel it when I lay or sleep on my back. I feel intense pain when changing sides during sleeping. Moreover, I also feel it when I try to lift my chest and stretch my shoulders back. The pain was also radiating in the upper region of my right leg which made walking almost impossible. I did some research on the internet and guessed that it may be SCIATICA. I consulted a neurologist who said that it is muscle spasm and suggested me to wear a lumber correct/support belt. Hello, how are you? Your age, weight, height? Plus have you gotten you MRI/CT lower back done. If not, please do!! To know what level of spine is involved whether the changes are permanent or temporary. As the treatment regime is entirely different in both cases.

ma'am my age is 21 and my height is 5.5. My weight is around 55KG and I'm physically neither over weight, nor under weight. I'm like any other normal person of my age and height. As for the MRI/CT scan, I haven't got it done because the DR I consulted didn't ask me to do so. I went to Sir Ganga Ram hospital in Lahore.

The proper medical advise would be to definitely get a scan (CT/MRI) to know the exact situation of the spine and the discs. Otherwise you will end up over consuming pain medication from time to time. Which will affect your gastric lining leading to reflux issues in long term.
