If this refusal to feed is recent and he has curd like material on palate and inner aspects of cheeks, besides white material on the tongue you noticed, your son may have an infection of mouth cavity caused by a fungus.

Please, upload a picture of the mouth for me to see whether tongue has milk coating only or there is fungal infection.

With obvious involvement of lips, this is Oral Thrush or infection caused by a fungus. This makes it uncomfortable for the infant to suck milk. Use Nilstat Drops, containing nystatin, 1 ml every 6 hours for 7 days. Empty half of the dropper on each side of the mouth. It is OK if the infant swallows it.

White colour of tongue is normal in milk feeding babies
But white lesion for fungal infection must be ruled out .
For feed we have to see the feeding techniques and other causes of interupted feed like oral cavity lesions or nostrils blockage .if you are in multan kindly visit me so that we can sort the basic issues
