If ur asking long term method than u can use intrauterine device ie CuT for 10 years and multiload for 5 years. These devices r hormone free.
U just have to pay followup visit in first year of insertion to chek its position.
It dont cause weight gain. Or have any effect on diabetes.
When ever u want to remove it is easily removable.
Second method is implant JADDELLE for 5 years. It contain hormones and may have effect on ur weight gain but if u chek ur diet u can use this.
Best method is condoms if ur husband is coperative

methid of contraception depends on whether you want long term or short term....for short term co doms are best.... for long term you have options of copper t, multiload, implanon but in the end all depends on your detailed history and your wishes.
Intrauterine device is best for u if u want nonhormonal long acting contraceptives. It is safe and easy to insert or remove. It has no effect on wieght gain.
