Asking For Self, Female 53, lahore
Aoa, I have pain and swelling on my right knee. Its really difficult for me to walk because the knee is stiff. I am 53 years old, also have had menopause. Kindly guide how this pain can be reliefed. When I take Calfcam 50 only then some pain goes away but i dont want to stay dependent on it.
Get knee joint xrays (standing) and the contact
other options include intrarticular injection and physiotherpy.
Need assessment ,and further treatment will be decided accordingly .
if this is osteoarthritis of the knee joint then go for PRP injection or intraarticular injection.
Thanks for sharing ur concern. Since when do u have this pain in knee ? Any swelling in this knee ? Any other joints involved ? Any associated morning stiffness in it ? Clicking sounds ? Weight gain ? Any past history of trauma ? When did u achieve menopause ? Are u taking any supplements for post menopausal bone and joint strengthening ?

thank you for your reply. the pain has been for a month. I feel there is swelling. menopause happened last year. no trauma history. I take Osonate D and Cagen D as supplements but am not regular with them.

please book an appointment for detailed check up and to discuss further treatment.
It’s important to consider a few things at the moment. Joint and Bony weakness due to menopause accompanied with the wear and tear of joints with time. Appropriate weight management, muscle strengthening exercises and increasing bone strength is important. You may book an online appointment for complete history, evaluation and management. Hope this helps.

They are good for a daily dose but it enough to cover the deficiencies of these elements, if any present. you are welcome. Hope this helps. Have a good day

for pain control, if tablets don't work, injection in the joint will help.

should I take Calfcam everyday? I am worried it would affect my stomach or kidneys

MBBS, FCPS, FRCS (Orthopedics) England, Fellowship (Shoulder Surgery) UK | Lahore | Book Appointment
never take any pain killer regular. it will give you stomach ulcers, kidney problems.
if you are taking tablets more than once every day, then consider injection which can give you pain relief for upto 5months
