Asking for Sister, Female, 28 years old, Hyderabad
I need help because my persistent cough has no sign of departure. Dr said my throat has problem, that's why he stopped me from rice, khataai, and oil. And prescribed these medicines' courses one after another in last 10 days. But today after completing second course, cough is again there. In total it is 2 months old. (And did one course before as well that contained Klaricid, baydal, and coferb etc.) Cough is dry most of the time. And my throat and chest feels cold while breathing.
There should be work up whether it is aathma,GERD,post nasal drip, allergic cough or simple bronchial senstivity. The medicines you have taken are multidirectional and not pointing to a specific entity and no asaessment is done.
History with proper diagnosis is essential

No previous history of cough.
If it's connected with nose, then I just don't have smell sense since puberty years. No other problem with nose.
Cough is recently found, and persistent from last 2 months.

Doctor said that I have allergy but I have no such history. And if it's allergy then I can't find out what's that doesn't suit. In start of cough I got flu and fever as well. At that time flu was just inside nose, thick and blocking nassal passage. But after these medicines, it became post nosal drip, and now it's just unclear throat without drip.
My chest x-ray was clear.
What do you recommend me now?

There should be complete checkup especially nose,as nasal polyps are likely to cause these symptoms.

ENT evaluation should be done for polyps and management should be planned by pulmonologist.
