Asking For Self, Female 24, Lahore

Hi, I'm a 24 years old girl living with Misophonia. Eating, chewing, sipping sounds are my biggest trigger. I go into fight or flight mode as soon as I hear such sounds which have drastically ruined my relationship with loved ones as I can't stand these sounds. I can't eat with my family together because they don't understand. They are loud eaters!! I have tried using earphones to block out noises during lunch/dinner times but my family thinks it's very inappropriate to use them during family time. Please help me what do I do!!

u should consult psychologist for this problem. in therapy u learn how to modify a triggering events which exploit your emotions and they leads to negativity about others and about yourself. maybe it takes a little bit time but hopefully you will managed it. so don't take a lot of time just get an appointment with psychologist.
