Asking For Self, Female 26, Lahore
AoA. I have anxiety or stress problem. my Dr prescribe me zoloft and trytanol. are both medicines safe to use together? 4 months postpartum and my baby is on exclusively breast feed. are these safe for me?
It's advisable to only use one drug during post partum period. Zoloft 50 mg is sufficient, it's dose can be gradually increased.
It is preferred not to breat feed while taking antidepressants as they are released in breast milk. It would be better to switch gradually to bottle feed.
Having said that, it is most important to treat mother's Depressive illness as it can have negative health issues.
salam...medicines are safe but u need not to lactate for atleast 3 hrs after taking medicines...how about improvement in symptoms

why u are prescribed 2 antidepressants although 1 is usually enough...zoloft is more safe
well before adding other one, we can increase dose....
according to ur mental state and side effect profile we can slowly increase to 100 and then so on if needed....But it should be done by urself, fist see some Psychiatrist nearby
i dont mind, u have a right to give opinion about anyone
But it is better for ur and ur child health to visit any other Psychiatrist in ur city....Insha allah u will be fine
