Asking For Self, Female 31, Sialkot

I am anxiety, panic disorder patient, started med Estar 10 mg half dose 7 days ago (prescribed by a certified psychiatrist) and have taken session from psychologist. I m using half dose (5 mg). 7 days passed and now my psychiatrist told me about increasing the dose as 10 mg. But I m much afraid bcz of its side effects. Starting 2 days (when med started) were worst days as I felt much anxious, extreme weakness, nausea, total loss of appetite, blur vision, cold waves in body. Now I have just fear that after increasing dose what if all these side effects come again. Can it be very dangerous? Plz guide me. Thank you

Every medicine has side-effects ,the medication you are taking is one with least side-effects but can cause stomach upset, nausea that it can go away with use and they are mostly short term.
You can however change medication, other choices are always there.

Usually side effects subside with in 15 days and your illness may show improvement in 4-6 weeks. If there is no improvement at all or the side effects are extremely troublesome then your doctor may think of either changing the medicine. But if there is improvement but it is little then dose increase or additional medicine is started. Start of talking therapies is very beneficial for some people. The best option is to trust your psychiatrist and discuss your queries with him or her.
