Asking for Self, Female, 24 years old, Karachi

Female 24 years old. Took a psych appointment from south city doctor suggested I take Ciraplex half tablet of 10mg for a week & then full (once in a day) after experience panic attack’s last week which includes heavy breathing , nausea , a lot of heart palpitations , faint feeling , shaking & did not get any better after a week later too. Been having a lot of stress ever since & crying Doctor has advised me to take this & inderal for heart beat.heart beat is normally high too Please suggest is this medicine addictive or too strong or will harm me than do more good. Please share personal experience or anything at all .

The medicine is a good choice and started appropriately, its not addictive and it has more benefits then side effects, the side effect appear only in first two weeks then your body gets used to it, in very few cases we need to change it because of stomach issues, bit n your case it seems it did not cause any problem, you are concerned about your anxiety about medicine, that is part of your illness, it will go away soon when your blood levels are reached to a level that is required to see the benefit. No need to hurry, these medicines are different than others, as these take bit longer to show effect, you need to wait for 2 more weeks to see improvement. Meanwhile plz continue with follow up visits to your psychiatrist.
