I want to ask question from Dr Farrukh hayat Psychiatrist but other may answer. I am using Seroxate and Mritazapine and my brain always remain in sleep mode, i can't do anything as I can't concentrate. Moreover, my eyesight being weak rapidly. Are these side effects of these tablets? Will they go away and after how much time? I am govt servant but unable to work, plz urgently help me out

For Panic attacks and Generalised anxiety disorder, Seroxat is a good medicine. You have not written the preparation (Plain or CR), dosage and timings. If you are taking it in the morning then you can switch it to softer dinner.
Similarly you have not given details of Mirtazepine, timing and dosage. If you are taking 15 mg at night after dinner then reduce it to half tablet after dinner. This medicine causes more sedation. The dose of Mirtazepine can be gradually tapered with consultation of your Psychiatrist and may even be stopped at some point.
If you still feel sedated then the medicines can be gradually replaced with another medicine.

sir, you have given me Seroxate cr 12.5 mg at night and mirtazapine 15 mg but 1/4 at night, even then all the time my brain remain sleepy and totally disturb vision and extreme stress in veins, i can not even think. if i try to work in office my brain exhaust and depression start. I am your patient and using these tablets from 4 days
