Doctor has prescribed me these below meds for anxiety and depression
Cipralex ( Escitalopram ) Deprel ( Trazoeone ) Busron ( buspirone )
I checked on google that combine use of cipralex and deprel together can cause major side effects like serotnin syndrome and other. Can any Doctor pls advise if it is safe and should i take it. I am really scared and worried
for how long have you been taking these? what are the doses? it depends on severity of your anxiety/depression, they donot necessarily cause the side effects. better not to google everything, ask the concern with your treating physician.
Welcome. though there are drug interaction between them, as escitalopram and trazodone both increase serotonin level, escitalopram and buspirone both increase serotonin levels, trazodone and buspirone both increase serotonin levels. but clinically two antidepressants can be combined if required depends upon clinical factors, but i would advise to take an expert opinion to have one antidepressant with optimal level for good results, if not then combination with other antidepressant. not three antidepressant medicine at onetime. Thanks
