I think its best to start with lifestyle modification. She must avoid junk food, fried food, carbohydrates and sugary foods. However, this does not mean that she should starve herself. she should cut on roti, rice and should have small meal portions. Also, she should include more greens in her diet. Breakfast: cereals, bran bread, boiled egg, chicken sandwhich. Lunch: green or bean salad bowl, may be a fruit, half chapati, chicken baked. Dinner: one chapati with salan, or a small bowl of boiled rice with salan, and green/ bean salad. Also walk and physical activity is a must
