I had my son; 4 months of age, vaccinated in the morning 10 o'clock. He didn't had fever. I gave him bath at 12 and washed him twice till now.. He's started getting mild fever now, I am giving paracetamol at gap of 6-7hrs. I just came to know that bathing after vaccine isn't good at all. What should I do to avoid infection/inflammation. Also should I keep him covered or under the fan.
Mild fever after vaccination is common. Record the temperature, if over 100.4F, give paracetamol 8 hourly for today. It should be alright by tomorrow. Do not over wrap the baby. Just keep in normal clothes. No additional fan/ cooling needed for mild fever.
Its ok. Fever usually occur after vaccination. If its warm in your city, its ok to have fan on. Give syrup paracetamol as u r giving incase of fever
fever will settle with in 48 hrs if that is due to Vaccinations. just use paracetamol
generally hexavalent vaccine does not cause fever. it's pentavalent that causes fever
nothing to worry. bathing has no relation to vaccination fever
