Asking for Other, Male, 2.5 years old, Rawalpindi
My toddler (boy) is 2.5 years old. At age of 2.2 yrs I potty trained him in a week. He is super active and Allahumdulliah always eat healthy. BUT he only speaks some words like mama baba phopo mamu khalaapi shoe cloth pee blue broom do do wow done nana nani dada dadu hi bye aur ise trak easy words. But he can't make sentences srf kuch sentence banate h wob cartoons say yad kiye hn like HOW DO YOU DO, WHAT THIS, MAMA NO. He communicate with all of us via gestures. He act and we understand easily. Now i m trying to force him to speak but problem is he start crying badly when i dontlisten to him and say SPEAK THIS word first
Dear Parents,
Learn to speek is a natural process & forcing the child will not help but may worsen the senerio. If he is able to manage few two words sentences at this age (as you mentioned) then there is no point to be worried about. Some kids are few months delay in developing speech. Just observe and give him 3 months to improve
Regards
