Talk to Pediatrician on Loss Of Appetite And Vomiting

person-avatar

Asking for Other, Female, 1 years old, Pakistan

My daughter is 13 months old, her birth weight is 1.8 kg, now her weight is 8 kg. 2 weeks before she stopped eating solid food suddenly. She has cough which increases after taking milk and at night. Also she is vomiting at night from 2-3 days and feeling restless whole night. During day time she is sleeping well. Now she is taking antibiotics with the recommendation of doctor. She is getting weaker after every single day. Is she is underweight or weight is normal? Also why she is not taking solids?

For average she is underweight ,but looking at her birth weight, she is ok ,premature babies usually catch up by 2 years of age ,fever or any upper respiratory infection affects child’s appetite , hopefully once fever and cough settles, she should be eating better,we can always follow up , if not getting better, good luck

Weight is normal estimated weight of your baby should be 9 kg in this age. For restlessness there should be any complication and need for check up. Check by any doctor nearest to you. Try don't give chocolate, and nimko type item. If loosing w8 and eating well then need some lab investigations.
Thanks
