Thank you.
most of the time its not a dangerous disease.
u just have to avoid some medicine.
when u go to doctor ,u have to rell him this pt is having this problem.
its not a lethal disease
It's lifetime care for this baby u have to get a paediatric hematologist appointment and know the list of thing medicines u can't give to this baby.. Otherwise he will be fine but u need to know everything he can take or not
no it's benign and x linked disease.but you should have a list of drugs when you consult your doctor to avoid those drugs.you can download that list of drugs from internet.
avoid certain medications and stressful events like dehydration and infection cox these can provoke hemolysis...rest it a benign condition...
Avoid the drugs cotraindicated in G6PD deficiency
deficiency is not curable but only certain medicines are restricted otherwise pt will live normal life .always have chit showing that baby has this deficiency.
Dear Parent,
G6PD deficiency is not curable as this is a genetic condition, person has to live with it and they can have normal life with taking certain precautions like they have to avoid some food(face beans) and medications, these triggers and at times infections can cause red blood cells destruction in G6PD deficient.
I hope you have received the list of drugs which should be avoided by these people from the doctor who diagnosed. if not please let me know so I can provide you with the resources.
