we need to get a formal assessment of your child to see whether her persistent fever is the cause for not gaining weight or is this the problem of diet. i would suggest you to continue with meiji 3 and start solid diet more effectively but do get a consultation to know what and how much amount to start so that she tolerates it well and is being monitored. also the cause of fever needs to be managed for proper nourishment
After one year of age it is not necessary to give a formula milk. Child can safely be given cows milk. Formula milks are modified cows milk and can cause Cows Milk Protein Allergy as much as an ordinary milk. Your daughter needs solid foods more than milk at this age. In fact we recommended that the child should be eating all the foods other family members take by the time he/she turns one year old. From 12 to 24 months of age a child needs no more than 480 to 720 mls or 2-3 cups of milk per day.
