Talk to Pediatrician on Accidental Double Dose

My 15 month old (weight: 9.5kg) has a severe chest infection which was being treated with novidate 125mg syrup and dolor syrup for fever. Today on the 3rd day of dosage i accidentally Administered double dose of novidate with the difference of 1 and half hour between doses.. I cant recall properly, but probably i gave him double dose of dolor too. Please i need urgent help for my son

Just observe the child. No need to take tension if child is responsive. If vomiting occurs or any other complain occurs then take the child to nearest ER. Every dose has range for toxicity. But b careful next time

The medicine ciprofloxacin is not licensed for use under one year of age and licensed over one year ONLY when its benefits outweigh the potential risks. If your son has no underlying disease he should remain alright. For his weight, up to 190 mg per dose is permissible. Keep an eye on the child, however. Ensure adequate intake of fluids.
