Asking for Self, Male, 33 years old, Kohat
Sir suffering from AVN of both hip due to prolong intake of steroids..aslo having a case history of SLE..
Thanks for sharing your problem,
Prolonged steroid use can induce Avascular Necrosis of Hip Joints. Symptoms of which include Pain. Difficult in walking.
Disruption of daily routine activities like squatting, offering prayers, and climbing stairs.
Treatment of avascular necrosis depends on Xray and Mri findings. It can be a core decompression procedure, vascularizied fibular graft or total hip replacement. Depending on what stage of AVN you have and wether there is a collapse of head of femur or
not.
I strongly suggest you visit with your complete medical records.
Thanks
Dr Omer Kaleem
