Weight Loss Diet
Early morning: 1 fruit of your choice + 3 - 4 mixed seeds such as
watermelon, flax, sesame, melon to name a few.


Breakfast
2 egg omelette with
2 whole grain bread slices/
or 2 multigrain mixed vegetable parathas +
1 glass of vegetable juice of your choice.


Mid-morning: 4 walnuts and 2 dates/Fruit of your choice/tender
coconut water


Pre-lunch: 1 plate of preferred salad with vinegar dressing.


Lunch: 2 multigrain roti/1 Katori red or brown rice + 1 bowl dal/
pulses like rajma/Egg bhurji/non-veg subji + 1 bowl low-fat curd


Mid-evening: 1 glass of tea or coffee/1 glass buttermilk


Snack: 1 fruit of your choice/1 glass whey protein drink/1 bowl
Sprouts


Dinner: 1 bowl chicken gravy + 1 bowl rice/2 multigrain rotis + salad
+ 1 bowl low-fat curd/1 bowl vegetable dalia
+ 1 bowl of chicken soup


Post-dinner : (if you are up late): 4-5 pieces
of nuts/1 glass warm low-fat milk

if you are on birth control pills or fertility treatment than this increases water retention. Although that can cause temporary weight gain, it typically goes away within a couple of months.

There is never a one size fits all solution to weight management issues. It doesn't matter if a person needs to gain weight or lose weight. Both require modifying dietary and lifestyle habits, as well as dealing with any underlying psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, and severe stress. There also has to be self acceptance of your body's metabolism and natural tendencies. God has made us all different. Quick fixes, crash diets, tokas, etc dont yield lasting results, slow down your metabolism, and lead to more weight gain in the future.

Work with a nutritionist to help develop a plan that is suitable for you. However, it requires that you make a commitment to the process. You can not attend one session, and expect to walk out the door and do everything perfectly from that point forward. Behavioural modification takes time. It isn't instantaneous. Change also has to be approached in the right way or a person reverts back to old habits. I conduct sessions online via Zoom or in-person in Lahore.
