Asking for Other, Male, 37 years old, Pakistan
He was diagnosed with brain tumor but with medicine it was dissolved. It was related to pituitary gland. Now he got his tests done his prolactin level came really high 7459 mIU/L (45-375). And serum Androgenic hormone was 1.1 nmol/L (10.0-35.0). Now his doctor suggested MRI to him. We are really worried. Hope it's not tumor again. Please tell me what precautions should be taken to reduce these levels? Is it life threatening? What is the treatment? Please guide.

Thank you.
Asalamoalekum! Please get an MRI brain with Pituitary protocol as soon as possible. This drastic rise in hormones shows a definite tumour. If it is tumour then the option will be surgery only. Hope I have answered your question. Thanks
Get an MRI Done with Pituitary Protocol. It is a treatable condition. A prolactinoma is NOT a life threatening condition but can effect vision. So better to get it treated earlier.
This patient needs serial prolactin level, serial mri and needs to be put on dopamine agonist
visit near Endocrinologist for starting bromocriptine based therapy . get MRI brain done. its secreting type pituitary adenoma so patient will respond to medicine.
Yes get mri brain & start Medicine again
