My daughter is diagnosed with ADHD on basis of hyperactivity n not going well in school.doesn't sit in class.her behavior is better with theuseof ritalin.but i hv heard that ritalin stops brain development.i hv confusion regarding ths.is it a point to worry about or just a myth?
Ritalin is methylphenidate which is brain stimulant. It does not stop growth of brain but it has some problems like that of addiction and withdrawal symptoms if stopped quickly, please follow the advice of your child neurologist in using this medication.
