Talk to Neuro Physician on Trigeminal Neuralgia

Asalamoaliakum respected docs. I am here for my mom. Meri ami ka right upper jaw par electric shock like pain hta ha. Pehly we thought its a dental issue. We visited dental quite a few times. And also my mother has a bad tooth beneth it. To is lia doctor ny socha k ye danth ki wajah se ho rha ha. Ek week medicine khany k bad koi pain relief nhi ho rha tha. Is lia danth niklwa dia. Lakin us k bad bhi koi improvements nhi hui pain ma. Phr main ny online Trigeminal neuralgia ka bry ma parha. Or meri ami ko tamam symptoms appear hty ha. She cannot even speak or eat properly. Please note that the pain only appers when she touches her right cheek, and nose and now its going to eyes as well. Please suggest me some medicine for this. I would be really thankfull to you Jazakallah

it does seem like she has trigeminal neuralgia. usually with this there are a couple of other things that should be screened and tested. also an MRI is usually needed. if she has high blood pressure, that needs to be controlled as well because with high blood pressure, blood vessels can become tortuous which can press the nerve supplying the face. so before she starts treatment with Tegral (Carbamazepine) she needs to have some workup done. I'll be happy to provide tele consultation if needed. alternatively go to a nearby neurologist before starting the medicine and to rule out other potential causes.

Thank you so much for your opinion. My mom doesn't have blood pressure problems until now. but we will have a recheck. And about TEGRAL.
If the blood pressure is fine, is it permissible to take it 2 times a day? And for how long would we take it.

wasalm according to if you start tegral then countinue for 3 weeks with tab bacillin 10mg half subah and shaam , and start TENS and ultrasound physiotherapy......INSHALLAH she will get relief.....
