Hi
it seems likely she has sciatica pain. Would suggest Pregabalin 75mg once daily for pain. As she is diabetic she has risk og getting neuropathies. Alternate option would be amitriptyline 25mg at bed time. If pain doesn't get better then it is better to consult a doctor physically and she might need an MRI spine then.

Thanks

Hi Dr uzair. Thanks for ur valued reply.
We've done MRI and it shows compressed nerve roots at level L4, L5 levels with decreased disc space. Gabapil is not helping much. We went to a pain management doctor. And he is suggesting laser nerve root therapy for 50K. People say laser is not standard treatment. Can u comment on it ? Thanks

Disc space narrowing is causing compression of nerves. Treatment options include medicines, physiotherapy, or surgery. Since there are other comorbid conditions also, a pain clinic would be an exact place to visit for further evaluation and expert management
