Talk to Gynecologist on Pregnancy Ultrasound

Asking for Wife, Female, 25 years old, Karachi

My wife is 13 weeks pregnant and this is her 12 weeks 3 days ultrasound. I am concerned about the last line which mentions 'small uterine fibroid'. Please advise if this is a point of concern and will it adversely affect the chances of normal delivery?

to find if a fibroid in pregnancy will affect normal delivery depends on the size and site of fibroid. size 2cm is small and its on the anterior wall. with pregnancy, the size may inctease, during pregnancy, it may cause pain at times in a small percentage of ladies and the exect position to find if it will hinder normal delivery is by an ultrasound near term

It is a small fibroid, when her next USG will be done radiologist will also check any changes in it, important for Gynaecologist to know. You keep in touch with your Gynaecologist. Case to case variations are there, so keep in touch with doctor and follow advice
