I had varicose vein problem in my first pregnancy that vanished on its own after delivery. During my second pregnancy the problem arose early and didn't end completely after delivery too ; I faced pressure and pain almost every month during periods. Now as I am pregnant again my varicose veins are getting worst with time, I have noticed swollen veins down there too and I am so scared. I feel too much pressure and extreme pain in my leg and specially vagina after mating with husband . My gyneacologist knows about my leg varicose veins but I am too shy to discuss about the vaginal area too. Both of my previous children were delivered naturally but I am so scared this time for the c-section! Any gynea on the group who can guide me that is natural vaginal birth possible with these swollen varicosites? Please guide me I am really worried. I am really scared if this problem ended up in c-section.Kindly help me with any suggestions/ home remedies /

Aoa dear patient,
varicose veins during pregnancy is not uncommon and they tend to get worse with subsequent pregnancies.
i feel your main issue is not leg veins at present but veins in private parts and u r worried whether they may interfere with normal birth. well, its difficult to give u best opinion... as a vascular surgeon i will adv to see similar in yr city... if they r too big, local sclero can b easily done. else you need to get proper treatment after the child birth.
regards
