I am 30 weeks pregnant and i got my cbc test and it shows me hgb level at 7.3 any suggestions on what should I do. My doctor has prescribed transfusion which i don't want as it comes with greater side-effects.

If it is iron def anaemia than better get injection . Get ferritin level
First of all the type of anemia needs to be ascertained.
You need to be dewormed.
You can be given trial of oral iron and iron rich diet for 3 weeks after which the option left for you is that of iron injections
You’ve another option of getting I/V iron therapy. With this Hb you should get at least 5 doses of venofer ....
