Talk to Gynecologist on Fibroids, Heavy Menstrual Bleeding
Asking for Mother, Female, 48 years old, Karachi
My mother gets her period every month with Very Heavy flow sometimes with blood clots. One of her gynae has suggest to get her uterus removed because she has fibroid problem and it could cause cancer and other dr has suggested her to take transamin to calm down her bleeding. Can u please suggest what should we do? I’m really worried.

yes medical treatment can help-other than tht i can offer mirena if fibroid isnt submucosal and not distorting the endometrial cavity...
moreover if its a confirmed fibrooid it has in sha Allah no chance of gtg malignant...so dont worry fr tht...
do u hv any idea of her endometrial thickness???
now as shes nearing her 50s so shes about to enter her menopause-at tht time ir regular erratic scanty/ heavy cycles r usual...

well it may cause problem for her so after having a detailed examination and ultrasound showing size of fibroid one should go removal of uterus
