Aoa dr I am unmarried female gonna marriage 3, to 4 months I have ovary dermoid cyst 5 cm , weight 42 physically weak Plz recommend me which surgery good for me laparoscopy or laparotomy? I want to safe my ovary.and is these surgery leave scars ? Because my in laws didn’t know abt it

Dr I visited many gynaecologist even prof of doctors hospital and hameed latif gynae they all said you are unmarried go for laparotomy in which more chances of save ovary compare to laparoscopy, is that true ?

Yes since your unmarried better chances to get pregnant in the future with both ovaries. Therefore if laparoscopic removal is not possible without damaging ovary then go for laparotomy. The scar will not be too big. And will heal.
