Talk to Gynecologist on 39 Weeks Pregnant
Asking For Self, Female, 20 Years old, rawalpindi
I will be 39 weeks this Thursday. I have PIH, no protien in urine or swelling of feet but high bp so taking aldomet 500 mg 3 times a day and norvasc 5 mg 2 tjmes now. Dr says if head isnt dropped till Thursday then it wont drop (first baby) and she will do c section as bp is also high so no need to wait. I want to ask is it possible for head to drop after inducing artificial pains? As baby position is good. Or should i go for c section? Just bcs the head isnt dropped? Doesnt make sense.

yeah u can take short trial of that induction with all preps of emergency c section as already u are on high dose of antihypertensive..u need to get delieved now
let your gynecologist make a pelvic assessment she will guide you better
Dear In Ist baby head drops before one week before onset of Labour in Ist baby but in your case BP is high and has to take 2 medicines so chances of failure of progress of labour and fetal distress high in case of artifical rupture of membranes in presence of high so also depends on urine albumin if nil blood test if normal and ctg normal and scan shows normal liquor and bp controlled can wait for 40 weeks in wait for giving chance to head desend
