Asa it depends on the size and duration. Laparoscopic repair requires the right equipment otherwise leads to reverence. Open is trusted and robust as compared.

Thanks for consultation.Choice of method for inguinal hernia repair depends on few factors.For recurrent and bilateral (both sides) hernia laparoscopic approach is better.For unilateral and non complicated hernias open and laparoscopic both approaches are equally goodHowever, Surgeons preference and competence in one method is very important this is what I believe.In my opinon and practice in all non complicated hernias laparoscopic surgery has an edge over open repairThanks
