I am experiencing presitent low to high grade fever and a presistent dry cough which has now changed into cough with mucus.i tested for antibodies against hapatitus C(HCV).The test came out at the borderline.i have gone for a pcr test for hapatitus C .if i test negative then what is my problem?

It could be due to respiratory illness as well. Get her chest xray as well.

Firstly this persistent fever and dry cough is for how many days
These symptoms are not the normal symptoms related to hcv.
At the current situation with covid better isolate yourself/ wear mask/frequent hand washing/ drink lots of water
Also as you are still borderline hcv n your result has not come , better keep your vessel, nailcutter, comb etc separate. Also make sure you have no cut or open wound in your body as HCV is transferred through body secretions

Why did you go for Hep C testing?
Hello..!! why did she test for Hepatitis C?? what was the indication?? Does she have any other comorbidities? You need to isolate her and go for COVID19 antibodies test..!! If there is difficulty in breathing, then get an xray chest too.. Thank u

go for chest x ray and upload it could be respiratory tract infection then start antibiotic

You did nt mention the duration of ur cough and fever?
If it is less than one month then its acute bronchitis and if more than one month then u have to do chest xray and pulmonary function test.. Then we will treat u accordingly
