Please consult neurologist and Internal Medicine specialist physically as it will need
NCV , EMG tests etc.
Consult neurologist ASAP
yes its a muscular dystrophy but need further investigation to confirm the diagnosis
it is not duchene ofcourse because patients are wheel chair bound by their adolescent years
it is somewhat like beckers muscular dystrophy but can't be diagnosed by only history u need electromyography test, ncv test , creatine kinase, ecg, echo and then followup
Please consult a neurologist! It sounds like a musculopathy. You will need EMG and NCV tests done to reach a diagnosis
Better See an Neurologist and Physiotherapist. You need a proper neurological examination and investigations.
Have you ruled out thyroid related musculopathy? Any other family history of similar symptoms? Was the onset sudden? Did you get an EMG, doc?
yes it might be DMD
you need physiotherapy
nd Start corticosteroids for symptoms relief
